Yesterday... As I was hopping up on the operating table for a procedure that..lets say...was very unpleasant, the following was taking place. The first thing I notice as the guy with the big needle takes my hand is Eric Claptons 'Knocking on Heavens Door' is playing on the radio. Then the needle guys cell phone rings as he is jabbing the top of my hand trying to find a vein. As he is chatting,( his phone resting between his head and shoulder) he misses...three painful freaking times. Ouch! I'm mean really really ouch. Brought tears to my eyes and I'm not normally wimpy. Anyho...sure glad that is over with.
